Location: Remote (Europe)
Type: Full-time • Stock Options Included
Our client is a next-generation Government Tech & AI startup on a mission to bring transparency and accountability to global public procurement systems.
Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Lisbon (soon to be incorporated in Dubai), the company is building AI-powered procurement transparency solutions for governments worldwide — think Palantir, but built for multiple governments and open ecosystems rather than for a single national structure.
Their vision: to replace opaque, corruption-prone government procurement with data-driven, AI-enabled transparency that any government can adopt.
The Role
We’re looking for a Software Architect to lead the complete rebuild and modernization of the company’s AI-driven government procurement platform.
You’ll take ownership of the system’s architecture — designing and implementing a secure, enterprise-grade foundation to replace the current MVP, which requires a full re-engineering effort.
This is a strategic and hands-on technical leadership role, responsible for transforming a startup product into a scalable, production-ready platform capable of serving governments and large enterprises globally.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the complete architectural redesign of the current MVP into a scalable, secure enterprise-grade platform
Design AI agent orchestration architecture integrating multiple LLMs (GPT-4, Grok, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenAI, etc.)
Define and enforce enterprise-level security and compliance standards for government integrations
Optimize database architecture for large-scale procurement data (currently using Neo4j)
Collaborate closely with leadership on technical vision, scalability, and roadmap planning
Build and mentor a technical team as the platform scales internationally
Report directly to the company’s leadership team
Technical Requirements
Senior-level experience in software architecture for complex, enterprise-grade systems
Strong background in AI/ML infrastructure and multi-LLM system integration
Proven expertise in database design and optimization (preferably graph or hybrid systems like Neo4j)
Experience with enterprise security, government compliance, or regulated environments
Demonstrated success in rebuilding large-scale or legacy systems from scratch
Experience in technical leadership and team building within a startup or fast-scaling environment
What We Offer
A strategic technical leadership role with hands-on implementation ownership
Above-market compensation and a high-upside equity package
Freedom to shape the technical stack and architecture according to your expertise
Fully remote role within Europe, with flexibility and autonomy
Opportunity to make a global impact on government transparency and accountability
