Project Description:
This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the visual experience of our client's slot games. As a Senior Graphic Artist, you will be responsible for creating stunning concept art, production art, and 2D animations using Spine. Your work will directly contribute to creating immersive, captivating experiences for players.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a Senior Graphic Artist with at least 5 years of experience, ideally in the iGaming sector. You should be highly skilled in 2D illustration, animation, and UI design, with a solid understanding of animation principles, graphic optimization, and game concept development. Experience with Spine and Adobe Creative Suite is essential. Strong collaboration and communication skills are key, as you will be working closely with game designers and developers.
What You Will Do:
As a Senior Graphic Artist, you will be a core member of a new creative studio within an established company. Your responsibilities will include creating high-quality visual elements for slot machine games, including symbols, backgrounds, and user interface elements. You will be expected to utilize Spine for character and asset animations, ensuring smooth and engaging gameplay. Strong illustration skills, a solid understanding of layout, and UI design are essential, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Game Art Creation: Design visually stunning 2D assets (symbols, backgrounds, buttons, etc.) that match the game’s theme and style.
Spine Animation: Use Spine, a 2D skeletal animation tool, to animate characters, symbols, and in-game assets, creating engaging animations.
Conceptualization: Collaborate with the design and development teams to refine game concepts and themes, ensuring the visual style aligns with the game's vision.
Graphic Optimization: Optimize artwork and animations for performance, ensuring the game runs smoothly on multiple platforms, including mobile and web.
UI Design: Develop intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces (menus, buttons, information panels) that enhance the overall user experience.
Quality Control: Conduct testing to ensure visual elements and animations function correctly and are free from glitches or inconsistencies.
Asset Management: Organize and manage art assets, maintaining version control and a structured library for easy access by the development team.
What You'll Need:
At least 5 years of experience in art and animation production or a related field.
Proven experience as a 2D game artist with a portfolio showcasing strong artistic skills and the ability to work across various visual styles.
A degree in graphic design, illustration, game design, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience and a strong portfolio can be equally valuable.
Proficiency with Spine or similar 2D animation software.
Strong understanding of design principles, colour theory, and animation techniques.
Familiarity with the slot game genre and understanding of player expectations.
Solid knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for working in a team.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in team brainstorming sessions.
Review and provide feedback on other artists’ concepts.
Contribute to the evolution of the team’s processes and best practices.
Analyze current market trends and data.
Assist with strategizing future product plans and game lines.
